It can't be May already; but it is! I'm proud to say, I've been using my days off to complete things. I finished the red silk pull-over and it fits great! (I love top-down patterns that have minimal finishing.) The bag is ready for Susie to add a lining. And I felted a tulip and leaves; they will be finished as soon as I find the wires for the stems. As a reward for my good efforts, I started a really cool Silk Garden Lite pullover this week. It's about 1/3 done already. Here's to starting and completing new projects.

This newsletter is all about our classes. However, as an aside, I want to mention that we now have about every Tatting book ever written. Also, we are now closing at 5PM on Fridays. Still open until 7PM Monday through Thursdays.

This class is based on the beautiful Knitted Flowers book by Nicky Epstein. Knit & crocheted flowers are the current big fashion statement. I have heard the department stores are selling ordinary bags embellished with flowers for some serious bucks. Save money...attend Linda's class, knit up your own beautiful flowers and embellish your own bag!

If you are ready to knit your first garment, let Susie hold your hand while knitting some small items for Baby in this day long workshop. Knitting small garments is a great way to get through the major milestones of a garment quickly. Learn how to choose the right yarn and needles to make something that fits. Intermeditate and Advanced Needlepoint with Nancy Horne Nancy helps her students choose just the right thread and stitch to produce magnificent results. Students should know continental and basketweave stitches already.

Margi's Beaded Jewelry Learn to make beautiful jewelry in one afternoon. Choose from the samples on display at Needlecraft Cottage. Classes are limited to 4 students (if all are doing the same project) or 2 students if each is doing a different project.

In order to keep the cost of these classes as low as possible, your entire class fee is going to the instructor. I ask that during class, you not park in front of the shop as a courtesy to the customers who will be coming and going. (You can park in the two spots in the alley behind the shop .)

One last tidbit. The Melissa Shirley Needlepoint trunk show will be arriving in about ten days. If you are a Halloween fanatic, be sure to see this one. We only have this trunk show for two weeks, and its last day will be May 28. We will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 29.
