What's the old saying? When the cat's away...

Yes, Liz and John have officially left for their vacation and the mice are running the show down here at Needlecraft Cottage! So far (day one), we're happy to report that everything is still under control.

We have a great trunk show for our needlepointers, and pretty new lightweight yarns for our knitting friends, to help lift your spirits during the June gloom. So come on down and visit -- help to keep us on our toes while the boss is away!

It's time for our annual Sundance Designs trunk show! The show is here from now until the end of the month, so come on down to check it out. The canvases are beautiful, many with a Southwestern flair, as you can see from the sample.

This year, we have a special treat for you: Cassie Prescott, Sundance's owner and one of their designers, will be here at the Cottage on Friday, June 23rd from 10:00am to 3:00pm! Cassie will be available to help out with thread selection and to suggest stitch patterns. What a great excuse to skip out early on a Friday afternoon!

Paulette will be holding morning and afternoon sessions of her popular Sampler Scarf class on Saturday, July 15th. This is a great way for beginning and intermediate knitters to expand your stitch repertoires. The morning session will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and the afternoon class will meet from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. These classes always fill up, so call soon to register!

We will be closed for the 4th of July holiday, and this year, we'll be closed on July 3rd, too. No, we aren't trying to sneak in a long weekend while Liz is away... We have some localized termite damage and want to deal with it right away. It's just a heat treatment, so we don't have to move all the threads and yarns -- thank goodness!
